Video Pool hired a new Director: Melentie Pandilovski on April 24, 2011. He is a new media art curator and theorist and previously was the former director of The Experimental Art Foundation in Adelaide, Australia. He has also taught at the Euro –Balkan Institute in Skopje, Macedonia.
Completion of Phase II of Video Pools 5.1 Surround Suite Production Facilities. This suite will serve Video Pool members engaged in video production, audio art, interactive technologies and installation, as well as film producers from the Winnipeg Film Group.
Canadian Commission for UNESCO "Do you see what I think?" Youth Video Project.
Video Pool worked with young Canadians who were strongly motivated and involved in their communities to speak out under the theme " Dialogue and Mutual Understanding" as part of "International Year of Youth" (held at IRCOM) Immigrant Refugee Community of Manitoba.
Aboriginal Video Art Scholarship (AVAS) initiated by Video Pool to provide new and emerging Aboriginal artists based in northern/rural Manitoba living in Winnipeg with enhanced opportunities for the production of independent media artwork.
FFWD - Youth Arts Initiative Program providing Winnipeg youth with greater and more meaningful access to the arts. Partnership with Ka Ni Kanichihk and the Rainbow Resource Centre.
Partnering with Winnipeg Film Group on Video Camera & Final Cut Pro workshops.
OpenLab- an initiative by the Education and Outreach coordinator and local multi-media artist Andrew Milne. The Open Lab also consists of monthly free drop-in sessions, whereby works in interactive electronic media are explored with participants. Open Lab has applied to present a workshop and lecture in New Mexico for The Eighteenth International Symposium on Electronic Art, ISEA2012 Albuquerque: Machine Wilderness.

Video Pool partners with aceartinc. for LITE NITE: Art's Birthday 2012 and international exhibition programing.
Aboriginal Media Art Initiative 2012 (an emersive program designed by Video Pool to assist Aboriginl artists, either emergng or already practicing in any discipline, with the creation of a short video or media art piece. Deadline for submissions: Febrauary 15, 2012 see Outreach for more information.
