VIDEO POOL FUNDS FOR MEMBERS

There are four funds members may apply for at Video Pool; New Artist in New Media, Media Production, Wendy Geller and the Artist in Residence Program. Artists may only hold one fund at a time at Video Pool. NEW ARTIST in NEW MEDIA FUND - November 1, 2008
A production and professional development fund for emerging artists in all avenues of new media; documentary, audio, installation, video art, narrative, animation, etc. Five recipients will be selected. The fund is supported with assistance from the National Film Board of Canada and William F. White.
- a full Annual Access Membership at Video Pool valued at $550
- $400 tape stock / materials
- 20 hours with a mentor
- 30 ‘flex ‘ credits to use for workshops , one on one instruction or tech assistance
One of the five recipients will receive the new Drama Fund, which includes everything listed above plus;
- $1,000 worth of equipment credit from William F. White (insurance is also provided)

MEDIA PRODUCTION FUND - May 1, 2008 (Extended) & November 1, 2008
A production fund for artists which includes a professional development component. Four recipients will be selected each year.

WENDY GELLER FUND - February 1, 2008; May 1, 2008; August 1, 2008; November 1, 2008.
Financing for artist projects, especially those between funding deadlines. In memory of Wendy and in dedication to her commitment to the artistic community, the Geller family generously established this fund.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE - November 1, 2008
Bi-annual residency and project support for a senior level artist.
- $4000 artist fee
- a full Annual Access Membership at Video Pool valued at $550
- $400 tape stock / materials
- 60 ‘flex ‘ credits to use for workshops, one on one instruction or tech assistance
- Required to do studio visits and conduct a: lecture, presentation, or workshop.
The 2007 Artist in Residence was Katsuyuki Hattori. Katsuyuki had a one month residency in Winnipeg via Japan, during which time he worked on the presentation of a project. Katsuyuki began his stay at the end of September. See more at Video Pool's programming blog.
